Whether it was through sketching, crafting with my hands, or most of all expressing myself through fashion, I found joy in every form of artistic expression. In fact, it was in the fifth grade when I drew the label and named the company for my future clothing line. At the tender age of ten, my path in life was already clear. My love for fashion was deeply influenced by my mother's impeccable style, characterized by her bold and feminine ensembles. It was her influence and love of fashion that set me on the course to become a designer. Shortly after earning my Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design from California State University, Northridge, I secured my first job in the industry. Over the years, I worked as a designer for various clothing manufacturers, specializing in both junior and women's contemporary labels in the heart of the Los Angeles garment district. Eventually, my designs found their way into esteemed retailers like Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Macy's, and Dillard's. In 2017, my lifelong dream of launching my own eponymous label, SIMONA MAGHEN, came to fruition. It was a full-circle moment as SIMONA RTW, the name I had envisioned in the fifth grade, finally came to life. Today, I design from my studio in Los Angeles, and it brings me immense joy to see my creations showcased in boutiques both domestically and internationally. The brand's theme color, purple, is a subtle tribute to my late mother. A detail that holds a special place in my heart as it was her favorite color. I'm certain you noticed this on the website, and you will find a purple satin ribbon gracing the hangtag of every garment in honor of her memory. At SIMONA MAGHEN, design is at the core of everything I do. The essence of my brand lies in creating contemporary pieces that exude innate femininity, inspiring confidence in every woman. The collection ranges from contemporary, timeless minimalist styles suitable for everyday wear to elegant attire perfect for special occasions. I take pride in combining quality design with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that each garment is crafted to flatter and enhance.
